The project of this high-end design house in Sallent del Llobregat, Barcelona, is an architectural masterpiece that fuses modern elegance with the natural beauty of the rural environment.
The central idea of the project is based on the creation of two contrasting but harmoniously complementary volumes. Throughout the entirety ground floor, a natural stone plinth, extracted from the environment itself, gives the house a solid and robust character. This plinth not only provides a stable base, but also establishes a deep bond with the surrounding nature.
In contrast, the Upper volume is presented as two translucent white boxes that, inside, emanate transparency and luminosity, as if they were floating light boxes. This design choice highlights the subtlety and elegance of the project, creating an impressive visual contrast with the green roof that crowns the house. This vegetation cover not only adds a touch of naturalness to the design, but also contributes to environmental sustainability by integrating the house into its environment in an organic way.
Large windows blending the interior with the exterior…
The use of large windows allows you to fully enjoy the panoramic views that surround the property, creating a fluid connection between the interior and exterior. These windows merge with the pool and the rural landscape, giving the inhabitants of the house a feeling of being immersed in nature and village life.
